Completed in February 2026 by WIT Design & Research, the Greentown Haitang Chaoming Villa in Sanya is an upgraded villa prototype exploring long?term coastal residency in Sanya’s Haitang Bay. Drawing inspiration from the shared attributes of Sanya Haitang Bay and Valencia, Spain, two coastal cities thousands of kilometres apart, the design moves past decorative set?piece aesthetics for short?holiday getaways, delivering an inhabitable villa tailored for seasonal extended stays and multi?generational family gatherings.
Centred on the intrinsic value of indoor?outdoor integration, the design positions courtyards and swimming pools at the heart of daily life, reconfiguring residents’ redistributable time. It merges coastal leisure with Haitang Bay’s comprehensive urban amenities ranging from duty?free retail to medical and educational facilities. Following the design ethos of “Material as Emotion”, low?saturation mosaics and soft natural light craft a laid?back spatial atmosphere. Materials are selected to suit the tropical climate for authentic everyday use, bare?foot comfort included. Art is woven into spatial narrative rather than treated as ornamental add?on; muted Valencia?inspired colour palettes cultivate understated old?money aesthetics. To address art?budget constraints common to real?estate projects, Fangzhou Intelligent Manufacturing under WIT leverages AI and large?scale robotic?arm carving techniques to realise custom art installations with controlled costs.
Departing from luxury defined by ostentatious material stacking, this villa prioritises deep emotional bonds between occupants and spaces, embodying a slow?paced, outdoor?oriented family resort lifestyle. Responsive to genuine residential demands, one unit was sold with full payment within merely three weeks after launch. Rooted in the firm’s cross?sector design expertise, this project delivers a practical reference for high?end coastal villas built for long?term resort living in China.
